The Taubman Museum of Art store will showcase regional crafts, museum- and exhibition-related merchandise and “unique and imaginative gifts from around the world,” said a museum release.

Theater

Architect Randall Stout said the new space will include a ceiling-mounted movie projector, with additional hookups for two more projectors aimed at different walls, for video art installations.

Cafe

The cafe, with both indoor and outdoor seating, will serve morning coffee and pastries and a lunch menu featuring “seasonal American cuisine,” said museum external affairs director Kimberly Templeton.

Art Venture

The new and improved version of the museum’s popular interactive and educational component will be geared toward involving visitors of all ages in the creative process.
